Embody Your Natural State of Being
SSSHHhhh… Listen. Can you hear?

Come to your stillness with a relaxed, deep breath with the Sounds Of Womb Sleep CD

A disturbed breath leads to a disturbed mind. A Steady breath leads to a steady mind. The two go together. Hence cultivate a steady and quiet breath, thereby the mind is controlled. – The Hatha Yoga Pradipika

When we become steady, the natural state of being arises living life with success and solutions every step of the way.

There is a belief that many people are taught: we must search to find the answer or find out who we are. It is as though we are a mystery to ourselves. Most people experience this reality, doing what they do day in day out, knowing there is more or something else undiscovered.

We are often told that all is within, but how many of us actually stop and ask ourselves the same question we expect others to answer for us. When we stop and listen we are open and may actually hear the answers from within.
Maybe we do stop and ask, but do we take the time to listen and hear, then act on that information?

Sometimes the key is so simple that we miss it and forget how easy it can be. The solution is often right there in front of us yet tension or frustration mask it. The simplicity is often denied or rejected as the mind struggles with holding onto a false or old idea of the way it should be.

We are taught to search far and wide. Imagine if we could just let ourselves know; stopped hiding and putting obstacles in our way. The obstacles serve a purpose in keeping us distracted from actually achieving the result we want. Obstacles keep us busy and begin to feel like a back and forth game. Every step we actually take can be an achievement when in an open space of receptivity to love, joy, peace and health. We can trust that each step forward is in line with a source of energy inside each of us that desires to live and feel fulfilled.

Ironically it is the moment we stop searching that the answer falls in our lap. This happens when we stop trying and start relaxing.
Searching has intent and it is the moment of no intent that we are actually completely open to receiving a solution beyond the workings of the mind. Sometimes we refer to these moments as magical or coincidental or scratch our heads and think “isn’t that funny, I could not have planned it better myself”. Can we accept that miracles are based in natural laws of nature and that so much happens when we relax, allow and just let life happen.

Intent is usually there to serve us to reach a particular achievement. There is purpose behind our actions. When we let go of the need to have purpose perhaps we can just let ourselves be the joy, passion and life we are and were at birth.
Our natural state of being is just that… Being.  There is a distorted perception in society about having to have purpose and having to be something or someone. This fuels the search discussed above. By searching we put more energy and validation into an unconscious belief that we are not yet someone or something.

We are taught that if we do the right steps, right behaviours according to someone else’s beliefs, rules or judgements (either another persons or cultural), then we will find truth. But whose standards are we trusting and why?

Ultimately there comes a time when the answers or solutions from the outside just aren’t enough. When we have tried everything and exhausted most options, we are left with blankness, emptiness and an unknown.
We can avoid these feelings by creating more to do and keeping busy, yet eventually these suppressed feelings interrupt our sleep, dreams, relationships, work or health - until we stop, listen and actually hear what mysteries have been hiding and what gifts may await our reception.
Surrendering or letting go to the point of allowing a process beyond control takes you somewhere unknown. This is profitable. There is always a surprise.

Paradoxically it is this space that is the fulcrum.
Most people continue to try and look the other way while others take courage and let it happen. This is the path of least resistance.
No matter how acute or chronic the situation, this unknown is an opportunity to listen; listen perhaps for the first time, to a voice within, an authentic truth, a unique wisdom and solution. It’s an opening where we can choose which way we want to go. Do we go with the fear, contract into this emptiness and feed isolation or expand into love?  The reality is that both may involve pain. I have noticed these beliefs and patterns  in my own life and in the clients I have seen over the last 10 years in my kinesiology and breath work practise. Some clients continue to play a game of going back and forth while others gradually and consistently work through their issues with the work we do on a foundation of calm breathing.

Many people dream of having a blissful life and are very happy to keep the dream where it is. It is like a carrot dangling in front of the horse’s nose, never quite tasting its sweetness but always projecting and knowing it is there because you can see it. Can you feel it? To dream is a choice but now is a time where you can step into your dream and feel the exhilaration, passion and grounded joy of its physical reality.

It doesn’t have to be hard. It can actually be easy; so many things in life work with ease. The best things often do. The fact is no one else is here to experience being in your body. No other being is here to experience you in your skin so it is up to you to enjoy the experience. Experience it the way you want…. Gently, deeply, lovingly and joyfully. Why not? You may as well fill up the shopping trolley before you go to the checkout.

Let us stop the search and take stock of where we stand, feel it, breathe it in, open up. Stop talking and actually listen. A moment at a time, a breath at a time, and perhaps see what lies beneath the layers most of us hide under.

It is my firm belief that in any given situation there is a solution right in front of us that we cannot yet see or perceive. Often when we relax, stop and allow ourselves to get clarity, it usually surfaces.

From the beginning of time we have been attracted to each other and to the continuing cycle of life, to gain sustenance, grow and play out a destiny together. This attraction leads to admiration, love, and in due course, to higher vibrations of light energy. At love’s first blush, our combined energy is a powerful thing to behold. We can practically see the stars light up as we become the focus and center of the earth, of our Universe. We are in awe of each other as we discover the wonder and bliss of being together, being one. The mirror image is perfect as it reflects the joy and power of sharing. This is perfect love, perfect joy and perfect peace played out in a reflection of the other.

Romantic love is the prelude to a partnership in life’s journey. This powerful journey provides nourishment to the soul, and alas, ego builds as the perfect complement to life. More definition comes to the partnership as a family begins and we take our place in the community.

When we look down at our first child we realize this gift from the Heavens, the perfect creation and complement to life, has unfolded. Great steams of energy shift our personal light ever higher in a brilliant illumination that everyone recognizes. The joy and love in this reflection of self is an awesome experience that many share and all recognize. Love answers the ancient call to generate more love.

Loving from the deepest part of ourselves, given without expectation or judgment, allows the blessed object of our desire to flourish. Both participants of the mirrored partnership find balance and healing in this renewing exchange of energy. In this simple exchange we truly see the other at a soul level while reciprocally giving of self. This is easily recognized and understood with lovers, children, friends, and also with pets. Energy shifts back and forth as we take some, and give some. Food for the soul, this nourishment is a critical part of loving, and often overlooked in our driven lifestyles. Keeping love’s energy vibrating high requires that we see each other, feel each other and give to the other in the way that meets our personal needs.

Let’s look at this from a different perspective, a plant for example. What kind of growth would occur in plant life if we only put water on it and deprived it of food? We all need different types of food to flourish. Plants get their energy from light; therefore, they need light to live and to go through the natural photosynthesis process. They will subsist without other nutrients, but not thrive. For plants to go beyond survival, to thrive, they need additional nutrients as the soil is depleted. Plants also need to be loved and admired. Ask anyone with a green thumb why their plants do so well. They will readily admit that they love their plants. This is the difference between a green thumb and a brown thumb. The green thumb gardener gives their plants attention.

Even an object, such as a car, needs attention. Car lovers provide more undivided attention to their vehicles than some parents give to their children. They wash, rub, polish, admire, take pictures of and fully appreciate their vehicles. Thus love creates beauty in the eye of the beholder. Not so easy for someone with whom relationship is a struggle.

The relationship that is a struggle is the most important of all. I am not referring to abusive relationships, but those that seem to cause discomfort. This is where we really grow into ourselves. Learning to see past the projection in this relationship of our most unwanted traits is the first step in true love of self.

Difficult as it may be to admit, that mirror is there because we have invited it into our lives. Get rid of the mirror and another one appears to take its place. Get rid of the relationship and it will be back exactly like the last one. When we allow ourselves to witness this part of self, accept and love ourselves, we are empowered. We have come to know and embrace all aspects of humanity.

Providing the energy of love is all there is in life. Love is the answer to every question. Give unconditionally to what you behold, especially those parts that are not well understood. Observe and give without judgment or expectation. Witness the mirror’s heart, the fulcrum and core of the reflection. This is love fulfilled, baring and exposing itself to both sides of the mirror’s edge in a dance of compassion. Love is co-creating itself in splendor and adorning itself in the light from our deepest and purest soulful reflection.

Love asks nothing, but to be. Whatever is left within the circle of love falls aside in appreciation of its self. We need only share that self and in the giving, we both grow and move to the next level of beingness. When we find that fulcrum’s edge in each mirror we behold, the relationship or beloved object comes full circle and energy’s light shifts again in deep revelation.

Lifted to perfect balance, we co-create our lives in full recognition as duality becomes complementary rather than apposed to the other. Touch one thing in pure conscious awareness and our veil is lifted. We ascend to full consciousness, and the circle of life fills with a purity and peace that nourishes the spirit. As love becomes the answer to every question, we live life in a mirror-less world of full abundance: materially, emotionally and spiritually.

1. Self-awareness

We can evolve and develop self awareness as a result. Once you gain self-awareness, you will start to see things in fuller light. Self-awareness is an amazing process, since you have balance and an honest point of view of whom you are, including what type of personality you possess. Self-awareness builds on qualities, since you gain the ability to intermingle with other people while remaining honest about who you are at the same time showing confidence in your abilities. Once you gain this trait, you will soon discover that stressors are less dramatic, thus stress will decrease. Anxiety and panic can be destroyed.

2. Control

Control can be achieved through self-awareness. No, matter how big or small the problem you will see a way out of the situation when you have self-awareness. As you can see, the panic and anxiety will take flight while you fight through your journey of life.

3. More Self Confidence

As you grow into self-awareness, you will feel confident of your abilities. You will learn new skills while holding firm to your beliefs. Your convictions will increase as you feel self-assurance in your abilities to succeed in life. Your faith level will rise, while you will discover you trust in people to do what is true, as well as yourself.

4. Enhance Your World

Beliefs can expand your world. What follows self-awareness and confidence is trust, and reliability. Trust and closeness will enhance relationships.

Friday evening 2/23/2007

The Godliness is asking humanity to unite.

He will make use of this period in order to affect a great deal of balancing dearly needed at many levels of His Creation.

He has been absent, perceptually so, for too long from His Creation, allowing the perception of having been dormant or even dead to exist for too long.

How could the One be dead if The One is ALL?

In this most Holy process of reuniting His parts, the Godliness will spare no efforts in achieving the results He expects from them.

Eons of miscreation have occurred allowed only by Himself in order to test the Creative abilities of His parts.

Time has come to bring the flock back home to The One. And, in this great corrective phase that He is undertaking as One, He will need to directly intervene so that man knows that man has not created man and that God did.

For the first time in eons He shall show His Face to humanity and man will not be allowed to doubt anymore the presence of the Most Holy One amongst all of himself.

The One needs to reconcile His spark of Divinity which all of mankind carries with His own perception of Self.

It is in this act of reconciliation that He will be the most careful to achieve a degree of action which hopefully will soon result in great joy and awareness at all the levels of His Creations.

Nothing can exist without God making it happen, absolutely no thing. No being can continue even for a moment if the Godliness does not think about it and create it – moment after moment.

Nevertheless, His Creatures are allowed a certain degree of free-will. That degree may soon need to be interfered with because the choices they have made and are making have brought much of Creation on the brink of eternal chaos and final destruction.

This is a gigantic leap in the way by which God interferes and interacts with His own Creation.

Nothing will stop His decision. It has been made. All the Creative steps are ready. They will soon unfold.

Many will wonder and be rattled to their core. Many will understand and bring the Holy One into the Holiness of their own being.

This is the beginning of a new beginning.

It is God’s intent to hold you each by your hand and embrace you, for His love for you is ever consuming. You are after all Himself operating in Creation. He wants you all to make it through these turbulent times.

He often wished that His corrective phase would have happened before. Nevertheless, it is now what it needs to be.

Yield to the Holiness and you shall all be rewarded.

Respect all of His Creation without exception for He Created all.

Do not discriminate.

Do not misjudge.

Unite and you shall be free, as He will take you under His Wings and protect you from any possible undesirable event.

You are all the Children of the IS, so act as such.

The Godliness will not accept anymore the killing of man in His Name. All the ones that engage in such shall need to disappear from His Thought Processes for in that awareness that He has of them He greatly suffers.

If you pursue Oneness The One shall be with you. If you reject it, you won’t be able to find Him.

This is the way by which He operates and will continue to operate, forever so.

Heed His words for soon the time for action shall come.

This is the end to the era of confusion.

There have been innumerable sources of misconceptions about the true nature of God who is but ALL, and as such, He will never accept to be represented by a restricted awareness of His Eternal and Infinite Self.

If any individual or grouping insists on qualifying the Truth about who the All is in a restricted manner, The One will have no choice but to oppose this entity.

Worshipping the One using various images or representations is to negate His Reality, and that cannot be, for the One is ALL that is and can be.

Great imbalance has been caused to the magnificence of this Creation by the action of man, and as such, The One will need to intervene to interfere with a lack of awareness that many of His co-creative parts are showing in the very extremely restricted awareness of man.

It has become somehow fashionable to consider that much of the imbalance which nature exhibits is but a natural process. The Godliness wants to state that all of it is being caused by the act of man for The One would never allow His Creative part as the natural world to function with such great imbalance were it not for the interference of man upon God.

The One and Only wants to state that He will search deep within the heart of each individual for a spark of recognition of the reality that the Creator as The One cares deeply about His Creation, for if any individual thinks that The One does not he will have to face The One Himself and the fury of Oneness which is showing Itself in Creation never to be neglected again.

This will be all.

Pranic Therapy Part VI

All the four forces in the Universe - weak nuclear force, strong nuclear
force, electricity & magnetism -are but different manifestations of
that Unitary power which the Vedists call Prana. Using this Vital Energy
to heal is called Pranic Therapy. This article is a continuation of the
earlier article Pranic Therapy Part V.

Integral Life & the Universal Stream of Consciousness, Prana

Never in the integral view developed in ancient India was life regarded
as restricted to certain cellular activities. Rather, life is a Universal
stream of Consciousness known as Prana in the Upanishads &
Consciousness- Force ( Chit Shakti ) in the Tantras. Each living being
represents a centre around which Prana moves at different levels known
as sheaths ( koshas). At the core of this multistoreyed personality
structure is the locus of the Self, known as the Atman. The Upanishads
state that just as the spokes of a wheel are fixed at the hub, so also
Prana and all psycho-physical structures are fixed in the Self. The
Self ( Atman ) is the Master Controller of Life that Western science
is seeking. The Vijnanamaya Kosha ( Intellectual Sheath) & the
Anandamaya Kosha ( Bliss Sheath ) are the sheaths where the light
of the Self is experienced.

The unattached Self, exercises its power through the Will ( known
as Dhrti), which in Yogic psychology is regarded as the dynamic aspect of
intelligence. With the help of the pure Will, a Yogi is able to keep all his
sense organs, all activities and mind under control, says the Geetha.
Acquisition of this pure will is the result of a Spiritual Awakening. This
Awakening, which takes place only through prolonged & intense spiritual
struggles, opens the divine door in the heart. This gives the yogi access
to all kosas or the five sheaths. He gains the capacity to open each kosa
to the stream of the Cosmic Prana. The stream of universal life flushes
out impurities & diseases from the personality system and brings in new
vigour and strength.

The world is overcome, aye even here,
By such that fix their faith on Unity
The sinless Brahma ( Absolute ) dwells in Unity,
And they in Brahma ( Absolute )! ( The Song Celestial )

The Cause all Disease - “Fault of Awarenes”

Intense striving alone can pave the way for this kind of yogic self-
mastery. But an inner alertness & some degree of general
supervision over all his activites such as eating, sleeping, exercise,
response to stressful situations etc can be attained by anyone.
It is failure of this inner watchfulness, known as Prajnaparadha or
“Fault of Awareness “, caused by ignorance and negligence that
makes a person yield to evil thoughts and deeds that is the root
cause of all diseases. .

Of the triune attributes of Nature - Rajas, Thamas and Satwa
( humanity, bestiality, divinity ), both Rajas ( humanity ) & Thamas
( bestiality ) are pathogenic. Satwa is non-pathogenic meaning
that living in rhythm with Nature can save us from diseases.

Charaka Samhita, an authentic treaitse on Ayurveda states
“The disturbance of the three humours are caused by Prajnapara-
dha, produced by the distortion of the intellect, will & memory ” .
Some of the aetiological factors are carelessness, lack of alertness,
forgetfulness & misuse of will power. The root cause of most of
the psychosomatic or constitutional disorders is Prajnaparadha,
the misuse of our cognitive and conative faculties. It is our
unconscious way of living, not in conformity with natural law, that
is the primary cause of illness.

Health can be restored by changing our way of living to a Self-
directed style. Hyperacidity, rheumatism, irritable bowel
syndrome and similar disorders are the body’s alarm signals
We can bring about integration of the personality if we extend our
Consciousness into the interior parts of the body & bring these
neglected areas closer to the light of the Self. This integration
fortifies our immune system and restores the coordination,
rhythm and balance in the working of the different organs. This
kind of extension of Consciousness can be done in different ways.

Extension of Consciousness by Meditation

The inner awareness which is the result of absorption in Meditation
can be extended into the affected part of the body through concentrative
visualization. If these meditative techniques are practised for some
days, the process of self-renewal & self-defence gets accelerated
and healing takes place automatically.

The Triune Meditation- ( Physical, Verbal & Mental )

Reverence for preceptors, continence, nonviolence - these constitute
Physical Meditation.

Speaking kind words, adherence to Truth, Self-study - these constitute
Verbal Meditation.

Cheerfulness, humility, silence, purity of heart - these constitute Mental
Meditation

Maintaining Yin-Yang balance

Everything in Life has opposites, Yin-Yang. (Yin is expansion and Yang
is contraction ). The most common yin-yang imbalance is stress arousal.
Stress arousal increases the adrenaline & cortisol levels which inhibits
the immune system. Stress is misplaced effort & takes away the energy
required for healing.

Ultradian healing response is the second major yin-yang balance. Every
one and a half to 2 hours , our mind-body goes through a period of
daydream or slowing called the ‘Ultradian healing response’. We are
neglecting our healing cycle if we artificially keep perked up with coffee,
cigarettes, alcoholism or workaholism. Daydreaming, meditation &
quiet time allows us to take advantage of this Ultradian healing cycle.

The foundation of Life - The Superconscient

Modern Psychology & Psychoanalysis deals with the Subconscious &
Unconscious. Aurobindo averred that the Superconscient and not the
Subconscient is the foundation of life. The Fourfold Yoga is the science
of the Superconscious Mind. The mind via meditation opens up to the
Superconscient and healing takes up automatically.

Jung spiritualised Psycho-Analysis and was not an atheist like Freud.
Modern psychology is an infant science, rash, fumbling and crude. In
it the universal habit of the human mind, to highlight a half-truth and
generalise it unduly, runs riot here. Freudian psychoanalysis is half-
knowledge & half-knowledge is dangerous & can be an impediment
in the realisation of Absolute Truth. Neither the Subconscious
(which modern psychology highlights) - nor the Unconscious (which
Psychoanalysis highlights) are the important elements. The Supercon-
scious, and not the subconscious ( or the Unconscious ) is the
foundation of Life. The science of the Superconscient is Yoga
( whose Western equivalent is Free Masonry.) The Superconscient
is our evolutionary future as the subconscient was our evolutionary past.

If it can be said that there is wisdom to be gained through hardship or suffering that we would not freely choose, then it can also be said that there is deep learning and truth to be gained through the experience of depression in all its many forms . As with all experiences that are painful and that create limitation, the deeper self or soul can bring out of this, something valuable for the heart and for the spirit. Though this may not immediately be apparent to the self in the midst of pain, grief, or sorrow, what has limitation on the one side, offers the possibility for learning and for greater life on the other.

This paradox is hard for the human self to grasp, because the human response to suffering is to want it to end, and the human heart cannot help but believe that what feels bad - what deprives it of joy, love, meaning, hope, and energy - cannot be the source of something good. However, the perceptions of the soul and the choices that the soul makes during a time of pain or limitation are invisible, and everything depends upon the choices that are made.

For example, it is possible, as a result of feeling disconnected from joy or meaning in life, to begin to seek that joy with a fuller heart, to value life more, to hope for the possibility of experiencing one clear and pure sunlit day without the cloud of sorrow on the mind or in the heart. It is possible in the presence of aloneness or isolation to feel the heart longing more for love and connection. And it is possible to feel, in the presence of the wish to die, an even greater wish to live. These are the choices of the soul. In fact, they are more ‘orientations’ than choices and they turn the inner self in the direction of pursuing the fulfillment that is needed and toward new possibilities for growth. In this sense, though depression may be a ‘dark night of the soul’ which we would not choose and in which it may appear that every light has gone out, the soul, within its own domain, continues to support the seeking of that light and continues to radiate light toward the self that suffers and struggles. For this reason, it would be well to look at all forms of depression as a spiritual crisis in its underpinnings, for although no positive movement may be visible on the mental or emotional levels, on the level of spirit and soul a question is being asked and a question is being answered all of the time, namely, ‘what is this life about, what is its value, and what am I doing in it’?

Whether flooded with feelings, or numb and experiencing merely a sense of deadness, on the level of the soul a groping movement is taking place during this dark and painful night - a search for a way toward the light that is, for the moment, invisible. In the blackness, there is a sharpening of vision as one seeks the promise of the light, and pursues the elusive hope of an end to darkness. Even on the conscious level, where everything may feel quite bleak, there is often a reaching out toward that which may have seemed impossibly far away before, namely, to the awareness, however tentative, of our Divine and holy self, the center of our spiritual being.

For those for whom the higher self or soul remains a hypothesis rather than a reality, this type of understanding may seem invented. However, this, too, is a choice that the inner self must make - whether to adhere to a perspective which emphasizes indifference, loss, randomness, deprivation, and lack in life, or to believe that at all times there is a purpose behind the manifestation of what life brings to us, and that this purpose, when found, can become the springboard to a new and more vital sense of ourselves and of life.

The origin of depression may not be visible at all on an outer level where wealth, family, relationships, and success may all be in place and operating as signs and symbols of a successful life. Yet on an inner level, the inner being can feel bereft of that which feels necessary to life. It is this sense of being bereft - of having lost, mislaid, or had taken away that which was the source of hope and of vitality - that gives rise to depression. This is not to say that there is not a biochemical component to the picture as well. Only, that biochemistry is influenced by the underlying state of consciousness and the energy that it creates, even more than consciousness is influenced by biochemistry.

The consciousness that underlies depression has become more widespread today. At the root of this phenomenon is the presence of purification on both individual and global levels. Whether applying to an individual or to the earth itself, it is this force, more than any other, that is behind the manifestation, today, of the ‘darkness that covers the light’. Purification is based on the greater presence of spiritual light which separates light from darkness, bringing all that is not light into awareness for purposes of release and healing.

Global purification brings to the fore what has previously lain dormant within collective consciousness that is not of the light. It does the same within individuals. In this way, anger, hate, cruelty and fear can be felt more acutely within the consciousness of many, as can the sense of inner emptiness and loss. It is particularly in relation to the latter that we see an upsurge of depressive feeling-states today and a growing number of requests for help. On a large scale, the feeling of inner lack is being brought to the foreground so that it may be directly addressed and healed. That this is true is both the discomfort of purification and also its promise - a promise which seeks to liberate humanity from darkness, yet which, in the process, requires of us that we experience what has formerly been kept hidden. In relation to depression, at its root is often the feeling of separation, lack, or void, and a sense of helplessness in relation to filling this void. This is the underlying consciousness that manifests as sorrow, hopelessness, despair, numbness, and withdrawal. The emptiness is felt by the deeper self that is hungry for light and truth - that is hungry for a source of meaning - that is hungry for a source of light to banish the darkness within the self and within the world. Both upon the earth and within individuals, this darkness is very prominent now, and it gives rise much more quickly to feelings of depression than in times past.

The capacity of darkness to create a ‘cover’ over light is what creates the sense of void or emptiness. Though light always remains present within each individual being, darkness obscures the inner connection with the heart and with the source of being so that this light cannot be felt. It also effectively creates a shallowness of perception in which nothing may seem quite real, and nothing that is joyful can touch or impact the self in a deep way.

In contrast to the above, and in the presence of darkness, there is also a growing presence of light arising, emerging from beneath the covering and pushing its way through the layers of darkness as it strives to reach awareness. This light is increasingly infusing the physical plane and has a direct effect on each human body that is present on the earth. Though at first it may appear to bring into awareness that which is lacking, it also brings with it a way through the lack, toward hope and toward the light of being - toward the recognition of one’s God-self that is the core level of each and every child of God. This core is both an identity and a source of love and joy.

Though the light that shines in the darkness may be invisible for the moment, it is nevertheless doing its work so that the covering of darkness can lift and the true measure of who one is and what life is can be perceived. In relation to this light, its presence cannot be undone. Its arrival cannot be prevented. It is a matter of waiting during this difficult period for the light to arrive more fully, and in the meantime, of anchoring the heart in the Source of light so that even under cover of darkness, its gifts and blessings may be received most abundantly.

Sahaja Yoga a living experience
to know your self - by Giuseppe Di Munno

SahajaYoga is based upon a
living experience coming from. within, which paves the way to a state of
consciousness beyond both the mind and the emotions. This state of thoughtless
awareness, developed by practising Sahaja Yoga, enables us first to discover and
then to become the real « Self », thus finding the self-fulfilment that human
beings have always sought , guided in their search by the various prophets and
religions over the ages. The ultimate stage in this search, and in human
evolution, is for us to become one with the primordial energy that is our
creator.. Every religion and philosophy speaks of Union with the Divine, yet not
one of them is able to tell us how to achieve it.

This knowledge is only made available to us in writings and words that remain
fixed in our minds, but do not give us access to the real, pure knowledge that
springs from within. Sahaja Yoga entails spontaneous union with the Self. « Saha
» means with, « ja » means spontaneous, while Yoga represents Union with the
omnipotent Power of Divine Love. This experience is our second birth, and it
frees us from the domination of our minds and our emotions. It announces the
pure universal religion known as « Vishwa Nirmala Dharma » in Sanskrit.

This transformation comes about when a subtle energy called Kundalini is
awakened and rises within us to establish our Yoga, or Union, with the
primordial energy.

1) What is Sahaja Yoga?
Sahaja Yoga is the next stage in the evolution of human consciousness. This
experience, which started to spread in 1970 thanks to Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi,
has since been extended to more than 70 countries. The knowledge of Sahaja Yoga
is very old, yet it was kept secret and mainly only transmitted from guru to
disciple. Therefore for a long time, only very few people had access to it. Now
Shri Mataji has made this knowledge accessible to all, and Self-Realisation has
become a reality for hundred of thousands of people all over the world.

Sahaja Yoga was foretold a long time ago by numerous spiritual traditions and
religions. Until the advent of Sahaja Yoga we manifested our concepts and our
ideas by means of our ego and our conditionings, without being able to achieve a
state of thoughtless awareness, which is a collective dimension. Because there
is no absolute norm for distinguishing an authentic teacher from a false one,
many seekers of truth have allowed themselves to be misled by following false
and self-proclaimed “gurus”, who are driven by power and money.

Sahaja (= spontaneous) Yoga (= union with the Self) takes our awareness beyond
relative thinking and into the realm of reality which can be perceived in a
tangible manner on our central nervous system. The result of this experience,
also called Self-Realisation, Second Birth, Baptism, Satori etc., is that our
spiritual evolution happens without effort, just like a seed which transforms
itself spontaneously into a great tree. The spiritual evolution which is the
moving force behind this process brings us into physical, mental and emotional
balance. As Shri Mataji says, “You cannot know the true purpose of your life
unless you are connected to the power that created you!”

2) Why is Sahaja Yoga different from other forms of yoga?

To quote Shri Mataji’s own words, “Sahaja Yoga is different from other yogas
because it starts with Self-Realisation instead of that being a distant and
inaccessible dream.” In these modern times, which Shri Mataji calls the blossom
time, She brings a method by which this experience (Self-Realisation) manifests
spontaneously (Sahaja), without any effort.

A small light is lit inside us - a new dimension is accessible to our awareness - and, through Sahaj meditation, we can grow without having to undergo any
hardship, by living a normal family life within society. It is in the light of
this new awareness that we become our own master, our own guide. After
Self-Realisation, we can feel a gentle, cool breeze coming from the top of our
head (through the fontanel area) and also in our hands (thanks to the connection
with the central nervous system). We can identify blockages in our energy
centres (chakras), and we become capable of cleaning these centres with the help
of our subtle energy, the Kundalini.

We enter into a state of collective consciousness. That means that we can feel
the energy centres of other people and purify them too. The fact that we are one
cell integrated in the whole becomes a tangible reality in our everyday life. To
become one with the pure spirit within us is the ultimate goal of human life.
That goal has been described in different ways, but it remains the essence of
all the religions and all the spiritual traditions in the world.
Self-Realisation is the first stage. Once this connection is established, it
needs to be nurtured by our attention. Regular meditation allows us to become
aware of our true identity.

3) What are vibrations and the Kundalini ?
The Kundalini is the power of pure desire within us - a maternal, spiritual
energy which resides in a latent state in the triangular sacrum bone at the base
of the spine. The awakening of the Kundalini was always the goal of all the
religions and all the spiritual traditions throughout the world.

“The Kundalini cures you, improves you and showers you with blessings. It keeps
you free from all the problems of the material world,” says Shri Mataji. The
manifestation of the Kundalini energy is known as vibrations, from the Sanskrit
word Chaïtanya. After Self-Realisation (the awakening of the Kundalini) these
subtle vibrations can also be felt in the form of a gentle, cool breeze coming
from the fontanel region of the head (on the top of the head) and also in the
palms of the hands.

Sometimes, when the Kundalini encounters no obstacles on its way through our
subtle system, this refreshing, soothing sensation can also be felt inside the
body (particularly along the spinal column, which corresponds to the central
channel of our subtle system.

4) When and how did Sahaja Yoga start ?
Shri Mataji had always known that She had the power to awaken the Kundalini and
that She had come to make that awakening accessible to all human beings. But She
wanted to wait until her family obligations permitted Her to achieve her true
mission. Saddened by the extent of the damage done by dishonest so-called
‘gurus’, Shri Mataji’s wish was that all the seekers of truth should attain
their Self-Realisation. Accordingly, in Her meditation on 5th May 1970, Shri
Mataji opened the seventh chakra. The Sahasrara chakra (which has a thousand petals) is at the primordial level
of the personal evolution of every human being, that of spiritual integration.

Shri Mataji started by giving Realisation to a small group of seekers in India.
Then a first group of a dozen seekers received the awakening of the Kundalini:
Realisation en masse had started. Sahaja Yoga spread very rapidly in the
villages in India, where innocent people were ready to receive this divine gift
with an open heart.

When Shri Mataji’s husband was appointed as Secretary-General for Maritime
Affairs at the United Nations, London became their place of residence. Some
Western seekers started to receive their Self-Realisation … then, gradually,
Sahaja Yoga spread through Europe and the United States. In 1989, Sahaja Yoga
spread like wildfire in Russia and in the Eastern European countries, where
thousands of seekers filled the stadiums and public meeting places to hear Shri
Mataji speak and receive their Self-Realisation. Today, Sahaja Yoga is
established on the five continents and is present in more than 70 countries.

5) Is Sahaja Yoga easy to practise? What effect does it have ?
It is the sincere desire of the seeker which is the driving factor of the
Kundalini. When the seeker is thoughtless, it is his desire that allows the
spontaneous energy of his subtle system to transport him into the silence of
meditation. Meditation requires neither physical nor mental effort. It is a
spontaneous happening. The benefits:

Very quickly, the benefits of meditation are felt in various aspects of our
life.

A. Physical benefits:
It is our subtle system which co-ordinates all the work done by the organs and
the cells in our body. When one of our subtle centres is blocked, physical
dysfunctions appear in the organs it controls. It is then that most illnesses
appear. Traditional medicine tries to cure the symptoms. Sahaj meditation allows
us to attack the causes directly, by rebalancing our subtle system and by
cleaning our centres. Thus, even so-called incurable illnesses can be cured in a
spontaneous manner by the purifying work of the energy of the Kundalini.

B. Mental benefits:
When we enter a state of meditation, we enter a realm of silence ; the thoughts
which assail us fade away, and the reality of the present is revealed to us in
all its intensity. Our senses send us a direct image of the world which is not
altered by our mind or our conditionings. The mind even becomes the enlightened
servant of our illuminated spirit.

C. Emotional benefits:
When the Kundalini is awakened and we are immersed in a state of meditation, our
emotions are also brought into balance. All the weaknesses which hinder the
expression of pure and sincere sentiments, such as greed, insecurity, jealousy
etc. are reduced when the joy of meditation is felt. This joy is absolute,
devoid of all duality. This same joy becomes the motivation of our emancipation.

D. Spiritual benefits:
Last but not least, Sahaj meditation reveals to us the Eternal,Divine being that
is Truth, Awareness and Bliss. We become part and parcel of the whole, like a
drop in that ocean of Love, and in meditation we melt into that Primordial being.
This experience is the next stage in the evolution of an ordinary human being’s
awareness: that person is said to be born again or realized. This means that our
spiritual essence, that had been hidden until then, becomes Reality. We can now
set about purifying our inner being, with the help of the self-knowledge that
Shri Mataji gives us and the relationship we establish with Her in our
meditation. Our union with the Divine will become stronger and stronger as we go
along and that is without doubt the most precious benefit that Kundalini
awakening can bring us. This Middle Way that is established within us day after
day by our Kundalini will shower blessings of all sorts upon us, not only of a
physical, emotional or psychological nature, but also material, social and
professional benefits.

>From the very beginning, the Vibrations help us to decipher and decode messages
from the collective unconscious informing us of problems affecting the different
chakras. Thanks to our own enlightened attention and the observation of our
inner being during meditation, we will be able to know the vibratory state of
our own or anyone else’s subtle system..

The effect of Vibrations on the environment:

Scientific research done in Russia on the effect of the Vibrations on problems
caused by radioactivity has shown a marked drop in the level of radioactivity
when objects previously exposed to radiation are exposed to the Vibrations. It
was also found that the Vibrations had a positive effect on polluted lakes: when
exposed to the Vibrations, pollution levels dropped.

Experiments in agriculture show that the Vibrations improve plant growth and
seed germination potential, and better crop frequency and yield. At a time when
whatever is “100% articial” is all the rage, we have a glimpse here of what
tremendous potential the Vibrations have for mankind. The strong point of these
resources, that can be used as therapy, in ecology or in food production, is
that they are part of an entirely natural process.

Priority to the inner transformation of our awareness, however. It is essential
to understand that the purpose of Realisation is not to cure or bring about
improvement; these are only the side-effects. The purpose of Realisation is, and
always will be, to achieve our union with the Divine. Therefore, the most
miraculous of all the benefits made accessible to us is this new dimension to
our awareness.

Shri Mataji explains that in this way, the human being becomes universal:”
Gradually, the person no longer identifies with whatever is false or
artificial. Thus,he notices the intrinsic beauty of things, and not their
material value as belongings. With full knowledge, he identifies with the truth.”
As the subtle centres open, their qualities begin to manifest in us. Innocence,
forgiveness, detached generosity, satisfaction, peace, security, diplomacy and
humility will spread like the scent of a flower that blossoms, as our meditation
grows deeper and more sincere.

6) What is the Self ?
The Self is what we really are. This final stage in our evolution that enables
us to become our real being, the Self, can only be reached when we manage to rid
ourselves of all false identifications with our physical, mental and emotional
perceptions. The Self resides in our heart, and its awakening by the Kundalini
can be felt in the fontanelle area on top of our head, in the chakra of a
thousand petals known as Sahasrara. The instant when we experience this
awakening is called Self-Realisation.

There is nothing revolutionary about the theory behind this experience, as it
was described not only by saints and prophets in days gone by, but also by the
Swiss Carl Gustav Jung in more recent times. However from a practical point of
view Sahaja Yoga is revolutionary, in that now, thanks to the technique brought
to us by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, it is at long last possible to experience
Self-Realisation tangibly and collectively, check it easily day by day and
gradually go deeper and deeper.

7) How much will this cost me?
Self-Realisation is free. We cannot pay for a living and spontaneous experience,
just as we cannot get a seed to sprout by paying Mother Earth. On the other
hand, we consider it our privilege to create this Internet site and we are
willing to pay for doing so, just for the pleasure of sharing with you what has
become of our lives since we received our Self-Realisation.

Our Website http://www.sahajayoga.ch
describes the practice of Sahaja Yoga and how it works. We also propose a first
approach to Sahaja Yoga, in the form of a simple exercise that can be done at
home

New breakthrough discoveries by Neuroscience and Quantum Physics have given birth to a whole new technology of tools to enhance and expand our Human Potential. The most powerful mind and meditation tools ever created are now available-and most people have never even heard of this new technology that can unlock the limitless potential of the most powerful force in the universe; ‘our mind’, especially our sub-conscious mind.

Our subconscious mind is responsible for at least 70% of the results in our lives. Our mental programs stored in our sub-conscious mind are made up of our values and beliefs that work like filters, which in turn define our attitude and behavior towards the events in our life, or how we interpret ‘reality’.

Since most self-improvement techniques, like books and seminars, focus mainly on the conscious mind level, we tend to forget most of the information we acquire very quickly. While we may experience some results, the changes we expected do not last very long. So it is not uncommon to feel frustrated and quit our search for excellence and peak mental performance.

If you are the type of person that regularly tries self-help techniques, you may have tried positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are repeated on a conscious level, and have the potential to help us re-program our thinking, but most people do not find a quick fix, and often times they just make people feel silly! The problem is that they require an immense amount of effort and repetition to penetrate the conscious mind and reprogram years of negative programming that already exists in your unconscious. The problem with all these methods is they do not directly address the true source of your behaviors or core beliefs.

Many people have not even become aware of a new technology that is available that is helping people achieve amazing results. It is a technology that can bypass the conscious mind and address the unconscious directly, in effect, opening a window into your inner mind so you can implant positive programming. Through repetition and real life experiences that begin to mirror this new internal reality, it becomes self-reinforcing and self-perpetuating. Once locked in, your mind-script is modified permanently. The unconscious then acts in accordance with its new programming and brings about changes in your everyday experiences to match this new reality. These programs utilize Brain Supercharger technology to directly modify your brain state and insert the new, healthy programming right into your consciousness.

One of the newest technologies available today that is having a positive impact on millions of people’s lives is called Brain Wave Entrainment.

What Is Brain Wave Entrainment?

BWE - is a well known scientific process that of inducing specific brainwaves to a desired controlled frequency (such as beta, alpha, theta, delta).
One of the most effective forms of Brain Wave Entrainment uses binaural tones that recreate the desired beat frequency. The theory is that if this frequency is used as a stimulus to the brain for a period of time, then the brain imitates these same frequencies and adjusts accordingly causing the pneuronet of the brain to restructure itself to a higher level of consciousness by balancing its left and right hemispheres, thus producing the positive lasting changes that we seek.
Why would you want to do this? BWE can help you relax or stimulate your nervous system, and therefore will produce a sense of well-being, reducing depression and anxiety, improving overall health, and stimulate positive thinking. According to Bill Harris founder of The Centerpointe Institute and the creator of The Holosync Solution: “this technology will safely and effortlessly take you to states of profoundly deep (and extremely pleasurable) meditation, stimulate the creation of new neural pathways between the right and left hemispheres of your brain, balancing your brain and leading you to a high-performance state scientists also call Whole Brain Functioning. You can dramatically improve your learning ability, memory, intuition, creativity, and your ability to focus, concentrate and think more clearly… Create true quantum leaps in your personal self awareness… Significantly lower your stress levels and lower your levels of harmful brain chemicals related to stress like cortisol…Create remarkable improvements in your mental and emotional healtheven in areas that have stubbornly resisted change with other approaches…increase your production of vital (and very pleasurable) brain chemicals (serotonin) related to your longevity, well-being, and quality of life”.
Another well known company is The Transparent Corporation which is the premier developer of brain stimulation and training products geared towards solving human problems and increasing human potential. Their products are used by therapists, businesses, M.D. teachers, academic researchers and thousands of regular, every day people in over 40 countries.
